P. Klinksiek apprenticed under his great uncle, Mason
"Bubba" Hunt, a master stone mason in the San Antonio
area. Bubba Hunt worked in the stone mason business for
50 years before turning to carving as an artistic outlet.
Sean studied art in school under local artist Jacob Pope,
and then went on to study art in college at Missouri Valley
College in Marshall, MO. After his attempt at college,
Sean joined the San Antonio Fire Department and finally
found the time to pursue his passion for stone carving.
Sean learned along side Bubba Hunt on carving native Texas
limestone. Sean will carry on the family tradition started
many years ago by Mason "Bubba" Hunt and his
fore fathers. |
